Questions, answered
Is making a PDF fillable really free?
Yes. Uploading a PDF, dropping text, checkbox, date and signature fields onto it, and previewing the finished document costs nothing and needs no account. The watermarked preview stays free forever. You pay one credit only when you want the clean, watermark-free file.
What does one credit cover?
One clean document, no matter how many pages it has. A 12-page lease packet and a one-page receipt each cost the same single credit. Credits are bought in one-time packs and never expire, so a pack you buy today still works next year.
Do I need an account to buy?
No. Checkout is guest checkout and asks only for the email address that should receive the receipt and restore link. That link brings your documents and remaining credits back on any device, with no password to remember.
What page sizes can I print?
Letter (612 by 792 points), Legal (612 by 1008 points) and A4. The page size you pick is written into the file itself, so a print dialog set to actual size reproduces the document at true dimensions instead of shrinking it to fit.
Which states do the lease templates cover?
California, Texas, Florida and New York ship first, each with its own required clauses. The rental application, pet addendum, move-in checklist and rent receipt work in every state.
What happens to documents I never download?
Watermarked drafts are cleaned up on a schedule: 14 days after creation for visitors without an account, 90 days of inactivity for a free account, and 365 days of inactivity once you have bought a pack. Any document about to be removed shows a countdown badge in your library.
Can I collect answers from other people?
Yes. A fillable document can produce a share link. Anyone with that link fills the fields in the browser and submits, and their answers come back to your document as a completed response. Generating new share links requires a clean credit.
Does the tool invent details I left blank?
Never. Blank fields stay blank, and the document title is taken from the name you gave the file. Nothing is auto-filled with placeholder names, addresses or amounts.
